Stabilising supplier base in Far East
Challenge
Our client, a Global equipment manufacturer with multiple production sites and R&D centres across the world was going through change in supply chain. Onboarding of new suppliers from Asia was accompanied with strong raise in parts not suitable for final assembly.
A project launch office entrusted an interim project to AGIM with an objective to audit pre-selected suppliers on the ground and support them in meeting agreed KPI’s and finding alternative suppliers where needed. In addition to expecting the interim Manager to improve the selection process of new suppliers and improve inbound products quality with strong focus on SQA approach to ensure smooth production.
Success
New supplier panel was finalised and stabilised. Supply chain was once again functional after 12 months, KPIs were set and measured.
